LUGBulk Meeting – Thursday Oct 10th @ 7pm

We will be having a meeting for those members participating in the LUGBulk program on Thursday, OCt 10th at 7pm at Bricks and Minifigures.

The purpose of this meeting is to come up with our list of 85 elements that we will be using to select our purchases from.

In addition, the Executive will be discussing the plan for this program going forward.

If you are planning to buy LUGBulk for delivery in 2020, you should come to this meeting.

If you can’t make this meeting, please submit your selected 5-element list to help us build the master list – for more details, please reach out to an Exec member.

LUGBULK Interest Survey

Once per year, Recognized LEGO User Groups have an opportunity to order large quantities of LEGO bricks directly from The LEGO Company at preferred prices. This program is known as LUGBULK and NewfoundLUG is hoping to participate in the next offering (2020). In planning for this, we would like to hear whether members are interested in participating.

Please take a moment to fill out this survey. If you have any questions on LUGBULK please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Next Event: Geekout at the Library Oct 19

NewfoundLUG will be participating in the second annual “Geekout at the Library” Event at AC Hunter Library on Saturday, October 19th from 10-4.

If you are a NewfoundLUG member, let the Executive know if you are able to help out or bring a build to display.

If you are not yet a member, drop by and have a look at some great LEGO Builds, as well as a bunch of other geek/nerd themed events and programs.

See you there!

One Month. One Hundred (plus) Studs.

What do I do? Simple! Start building your SHIP starting on Sept 1st, and start posting WIP shots as you go so everyone can all praise your guts for building a SHIP in a month!

Swoosh Factor, screen name of a NewfoundLUG member, is again taking on the SHIPtember challenge in 2019. Last year, he built the Terra Nova for the challenge and his creation has been featured on promotional material for Bricks in the Six 2019, and at several NewfoundLUG shows.

Follow Swoosh Factor’s progress with this year’s challenge at his Flickr photostream. His retro rocketSHIP creation promises to be equally impressive!
