Convention: Bricks in the Six
Bricks in the Six is a 4-day LEGO fan convention being held in Toronto, ON from August 8-11, 2019. Some members of NewfoundLUG are planning to attend, and the convention organizers have used a creation by one of our members in its promotional material!
The convention runs from Thursday to Sunday with games, activities, events on Thursday and Friday for full registrants, and a chance to show off creations to the Public during the public exhibition days. If you’re able to check it out it’s worth your while, whether you want to see some of Canada’s top LEGO builders at the public exhibition, or register for the full 4-day convention.

NewfoundLUG members will be displaying their LEGO creations and collector’s models at the Placentia Age Friendly EXPO hosted by the Placentia Chamber of Commerce. The event is on both Friday May 31 and Saturday June 1 – NewfoundLUG will be there on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

On Saturday May 4, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM NewfoundLUG members will display their LEGO creations and collections at the A.C Hunter Library in St. John’s. We will display our own creations and official sets from all kinds of LEGO Themes including Technic, City, Trains, Castle and more. May the Fourth is known by many as Star Wars Day, so keep an eye out for our Star Wars displays!

Our Panel at Sci-Fi on The Rock was a Success!
The “NewfoundLUG and a Love of LEGO” panel at Sci-fi on the Rock in 2019 was our most successful panel to date.
We had over 30 attendees, and our members participated in a great Q&A session after our presentation.
